Electronic Component Procurement Assistant

Byte Lab is a Zagreb-based technology company developing and manufacturing advanced electronic products for clients across multiple industries. We work on projects from early prototypes through serial production, with our team cooperating daily with suppliers, distributors, component manufacturers, engineering and manufacturing partners around the world.

We are looking for someone to take an important role in sourcing electronic components and other materials required for our development and manufacturing projects. If you enjoy working with details, can navigate a BOM, value strong organization and want to understand how procurement directly affects lead time, cost and manufacturing success, this role may be a great fit.

Your Responsibilities:

• Purchase electronic components, PCBs, mechanical parts, consumables and other goods required for manufacturing and development
• Request quotations, compare offers and negotiate with suppliers and distributors in Croatia and internationally
• Track open purchase orders, confirmed delivery dates and delays, and expedite deliveries when required
• Maintain accurate ERP data including purchase orders, suppliers, prices, lead times, delivery status and related documentation
• Organize inbound transport and coordinate imports, couriers, freight forwarders and required shipping/customs documentation
• Coordinate closely with manufacturing, warehouse, engineering, finance and project owners
• Monitor supplier quality and reliability and coordinate returns, claims and replacement deliveries when required

What we’re looking for:

• Strong organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple open items in parallel
• Basic to good knowledge of electronic components and manufacturer part numbering; BOM experience is a strong advantage
• Excellent Croatian and English, both written and spoken
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Independence, proactivity and clear communication with both internal teams and external suppliers
• ERP experience is an advantage; experience with Odoo is an additional plus
• Previous experience in procurement, electronics, manufacturing or another technical environment is preferred, but strong learning ability and motivation are equally important
